The Elberta peach (Prunus persica 'Elberta' ) holds its own as one of the most popular peach trees. Known for its sweet, succulent fruit with the tell-tale blush covering its skin when perfectly ripe, this tree is a commercial success in markets and roadside stands across much of the United States. Produces large, juicy yellow fruit — excellent for fresh eating, desserts, canning, freezing, and jam. It’s free-stone, meaning that the pit separates easily from the flesh, making it a preferred choice for preservation.

Ripen late July to early August, later in colder climates. Begins to bear large crops at ages 3–4. Blooms purple in the spring. Is self-fertile, great for home orchards with limited space. Sun Preference: Full Sun. Soil Preference: Sandy, Well Drained. Mature Height: 8' - 25' Mature Spread: 10' - 20'

This plant will be packaged as "bare root". Bare root plants have no soil around their roots. Bare root trees, shrubs, and perennials must be planted as soon as possible before growth begins. Find care and planting instructions here:  https://www.arborday.org/trees/planting/bare-root.cfm
