2024 Winter Sale

Ordering will open in January 2024. Pick-up information is below.

We will need volunteers to help us wrap and distribute the 15,000+ trees that are expected to be ordered. Please join us by signing up to volunteer here.

The Eaton Conservation District runs a winter tree and shrub sale. This event offers evergreen seedlings and transplants, shrubs, hardwoods, fruit trees, berries and various supplies for all your tree planting needs. Native wildflower and pollinator seed mixes are available as well.

The trees and shrubs are suited to a wide variety of soil conditions and uses, such as erosion control, wildlife habitat, windbreaks and reforestation. Several varieties are available including pines, spruces, maples, oaks, redbuds, and more.

If you're looking for a bit of guidance, check out what local experts would choose and why. Try one of their favorites.
  • Steve Tennes, Owner, Country Mill - Steve recommends this delicious apple tree for your backyard orchard because it starts fruiting in September and lasts late into the season.
  • Rachel Cuschieri-Murray, Executive Director, Eaton Conservation District - Rachel's choice is the Tulip Poplar. Tulip poplars are a flowering tree that produce abundant nectar and pollen playing an important role for many pollinators. The flowers attract honeybees, native bees, and hummingbirds to name a few.

Funds received from tree sales support local conservation programs. See below for tree sale order form and species descriptions.
