The Eaton Conservation District (ECD) Board of Directors is currently seeking an interested candidate to fill a Director position on the on the ECD Board of Directors to complete an unfinished term due to expire in January 2018. The vacancy will be filled by an appointment by the board until the next ECD Annual Meeting held in January 2018. The candidate must be a resident of Eaton County.
As locally elected public officials, members of the Board of Directors of Michigan Conservation Districts are responsible for the operation and management of the Conservation District. District Directors develop policy implemented by employees and make all major decisions with regard to a district’s programs and activities. As an ECD Director you are expected to attend and participate in the district board meetings which are held on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 9 am in the basement conference room of 551 Courthouse Drive, Charlotte.
All interested applicants are asked to submit a notice of their interest in writing and mail to Eaton Conservation District, 551 Courthouse Drive, Ste 3, Charlotte, MI 48813 by June 26, 2017. Please include a brief summary of any relevant interests or skills that you would share in this position.
